"Good question" - We have put together a list of 'must haves':
Jeans – are a must have and as early as possible. We find that maternity denim is stretchy and will normal give in all the places you need them too, including the thighs and bottom. The adjustable bands all allow for the growth of the belly. The best bet is to go for the size you were post pregnancy and you will find they will fit. If you are unsure go up to the next size and if you are having twins also go to the next size.
Black Pants - A basic black pant will get you through work and functions you may need to go to. Some women will purchase 2 pairs so there is not a lot of washing.
Bras – You will need a new bra around 12-14 week. Many women will go up a back size and 2 cup sizes. If you are still happy in your bra wait until you are not. The idea behind a maternity bra is that you have 3 extra hooks, this allows for your baby pushing your rib cage out.
Singlets – Long singlet are helpful for wearing under your tops. You can get long singlet with breastfeeding clips and this is handy as it is functional as well.
Tights – If you are a tunic, skirt and dress girl you will need a pair of tights. There are some fantastic tunics!
Track Pants – Get home from work and change into your comfortable track pants with fold over bands for support.
Basic tops – Most women will choose some basic tops to wear with jeans and cargos.
Belly Belt – Useful for the first trimester in your pregnancy to attach to your pants to extend them, I also recommend purchasing a belly band to go with it.
Breastfeeding Tops – Not everyone breastfeeds, however if you are planning to breastfeed you will love some basic feeding tops. These tops allow you to feed in public without exposing your bust. There are lots of styles in lots of basic colours.
